New roundabout at the Cansalades black spot

New roundabout at the junction of the CV-740 and CV-747

The Alicante Provincial Council has published the tender of the construction of a new roundabout at the junction of the CV-740 and CV-747 between Benitatxell and Xàbia. 

• The estimated value of the contract is 485.137,59 € 
• The execution period is : 6 months from the start date of the works
• Deadline for submission of bids: 27/02/2026 23:59h

The implementation of the roundabout will mean the widening of the road in the section where the road that goes to Xàbia from Benitatxell and the Camí Cansalades intersect. The roundabout will have several exits, both for the main traffic routes and for the closest rural areas.

The improvement of this access has been demanded in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell for many years. "We all know perfectly well the intersection of Cansalades and the Xàbia road. We know the number of accidents that, unfortunately, have occurred, and we know of the urgent need for our people to be able to have the correct infrastructure so that it stops being a black spot on our roads" said the mayor.
