Tasta l'estiu, a cycle of four wine tastings
This summer, El Poble Nou de Benitatxell offers numerous tourist proposals to connect with nature and practice respectful tourism with the local people. The Tourism Department proposes “Tasta l'estiu”, a cycle of four wine tastings, one for each month of the summer, to vindicate the territory, to promote the local product and to support the farmers of the region who keep alive the tradition of working the grapes.
The tastings will take place on Thursdays, at 20.30h, in the church square (except for BioMoscatell). The cycle will begin with a tasting at the Montesanco winery in Teulada on Thursday 26th June, and will continue on 17th July with a tasting at the Finca Mont Roig (Pedreguer) and on 21st August with a tasting by Manu Guardiola (Xaló). The cycle will close on Saturday 27 September, at 10:00h, with the local association BioMoscatell, who, as well as offering a tasting of their products, will visit a vineyard in the municipality to show the typical terraces and landscapes of the village.
Registrations can be made through https://www.inscribirme.com/catadevinostastalestiu. Places are limited. For more information, please contact Benitatxell Tourism at turisme@elpoblenoudebenitatxell.com or by telephone on 96 649 33 46.
"This resource not only seeks to promote a different kind of tourism, far from overcrowding and in connection with nature, but also all the activities that are part of this proposal are linked to an ethical component, which is very necessary to introduce in today's tourism. It seeks not only personal wellbeing but also that of the place visited, protecting the cultural and natural heritage of the destination and respecting the way of life of the local population, taking into consideration their language, traditions, customs and peaceful way of life", explained the councillor for Tourism, Víctor Bisquert.
