Teulada Town Council has announced the start of work to widen the CV-743 road, which connects the town of Teulada with Moraira, from Thursday 27 March. The intervention, described as ‘necessary and long awaited’ by the council, aims to improve road safety and traffic flow between the two towns.

In this first phase, the load-bearing walls that will give shape to the widening of the road will be built. The section affected by the works will remain closed to traffic in the downhill direction (from Teulada to Moraira) from the Gabriel Miró roundabout until after the curve below the Residence (Care Home). However, the uphill section (from Moraira to Teulada) will remain open.

To guarantee mobility, the Town Hall has established two alternative routes. One of them is along the CV-740 road, which connects Teulada with Benitatxell, with informative signage at the turn-off points. The second option, recommended only for light vehicles, starts from Camí Sant Miquel, continues along the Pas road and Camí Les Rotgetes, with an exit by the boat store. The council warns that the latter includes narrow stretches.

These works constitute the first stage of the comprehensive enlargement project, which is to be carried out in phases (1, 2 and 3) and is expected to continue after completion of the load-bearing walls currently under construction. The estimated completion period is four months.
