LANDSCAPE ENHANCEMENT OF THE CALA MORAIG AREA

The project involves the revegetation of the surrounding area, the integration of existing infrastructure, the improvement of pedestrian access, the enhancement of the viewing point, and the updating of information signage.

The estimated value of the contract amounts to 227.838,84€
Funded by the EU, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan
Contract commencement date: 26 November 2025
The execution period is set at 4 months

The project includes the following measures:

Cladding of concrete walls with limestone masonry, to achieve greater integration with the surroundings.
Reduction of the area of asphalt paving, through the creation of vegetation strips along the edges and in the central verges, and the use of paving materials more in keeping with the landscape.
Materials such as stone or treated timber, as well as rockeries, will be used to create these green areas.
Planting in central areas, on embankments and on the back of walls, using native species typical of the local environment
Re-vegetation of embankments and the backs of walls to reduce the visual impact of metal mesh and concrete walls and improve the perception of the surroundings.
