The “Vuelta a la Comunitat Valenciana” will pass through Benitatxell on Saturday 7th February, between 4.45 pm and 5.15 pm. Traffic will be restricted from 4pm onwards.

The climb to Cumbre del Sol will be via the southern access road, going up the Mercadona road to the sailboat roundabout and then down to Lirios, continuing along Camelias Street and down the northern access road towards the town centre, passing through Assegador, Pou, Mayor, la Pau and Avenida de Alicante streets.

The 172 km stage will start at 12:30 p.m. in La Nucia and continue to Marina Alta, passing through neighbouring municipalities such as Parcent, Orba, Tormos, Sagra, Pego i les Valls, Beniarbeig, Pedreguer, Alcalalí, Xaló, Calp, Benissa and Teulada Moraira, where the finish line will be located.

The section of the “Muro del Pou” on Pou Street, as it has been named, is not just any section. Although the Vuelta has demanding mountain passes, the uniqueness of having a high-level race pass through the middle of the town centre is what makes it historic. In addition, a Green Point will be set up on Pou Street, where refreshment waste will be collected.

The initiative to include Calle Pou in the stage route came from the cyclist Joan Vidal, a 15-year-old from El Poble Nou de Benitatxell who wrote directly to Ángel Casero, director of the "Vuelta a la Comunitat Valenciana", in a message on Instagram. Casero accepted the proposal.

The fourth stage is considered by Paco Benitez, Technical Director, Valencian Community Cycling Tour,  to be the queen stage with five mountain passes and a cumulative elevation gain of 3,300 metres, with the terrifying 1st category Miserat climb 100 kilometres from the finish line. It remains to be seen whether or not it will break up the race. In the final part, the climb to Cumbre del Sol should be decisive, just 12 km from the finish line, which will be enlivened by the climb to Muro del Pou with gradients of almost 22% 5 km from the finish line in Teulada. It could be the most beautiful stage in recent years.
