MAKE A SMILE: The Christmas Wishing Tree Appeal
- About MAKE A SMILE Charity
MAKE A SMILE is a local, volunteer-run charity dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and young people in care homes along the Costa Blanca. They focus on providing essentials and giving these children opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have. The charity uses funds raised through local projects, like their charity shops, to meet the children's specific needs, such as food, clothing, and educational supplies.
Run entirely by dedicated volunteers, they ensure vulnerable young people in our Benitachell area community receive the care, resources, and opportunities they need for a positive future. Every donation directly supports these children until they transition out of the care system.
- The Wishing Tree Appeal
The Annual Christmas Wishing Tree Appeal is a major initiative where new gifts are collected for the children in local care homes supported by the MAKE A SMILE charity.
Every present placed under the tree will directly bring comfort and joy to a vulnerable child in a local care home, supported by the wonderful MAKE A SMILE charity. Your kindness ensures these children receive a special gift this Christmas, truly making a difference right here in our community. We are deeply grateful for your spirit of giving!
- Gift Drop-Off Instructions
We encourage people at Cumbre to prepare a gift and take it to the LES Secondary Reception Lounge, where you will clearly see the tree dedicated to the MAKE A SMILE charity.
Important: We ask you to clearly label the present with the age group it is intended for, for example: 3-5 years, 5-8 years, 8-12 years, 12-16 years, etc. and whether it is intended for a boy or for a girl or for both.

On December 11th we have our next meeting with Espacio Amigos in the El Puig building next to the Lady Elizabeth School at la Cumbre.
ReplyDeleteDuring that meeting there will be a box with the above illustration of the Make a Smile tree.
You can leave your present in there and the volunteers of the LES, also present on that day, will take them to the school.
There also have been deliveries to my house in Pueblo de la Luz. Thank you!
