Benitatxell enables two new parking lots for the festivities
From Saturday onwards, El Poble Nou de Benitatxell will be immersed in its patron saint fiestas honouring Santa María Magdalena. And to cope with the increase in the number of residents and visitors during the festivities, the Council has set up two new car parking lots, one in the area of the entrance from Xàbia and the other in the area of the exit towards Moraira.
Valencia Avenue – close to the existing car parking lot where the bullfighting events are held during the festivities – will have a 2,300-metre car parking lot, while the other, with a surface area of 1,300 metres, will be located at Constitution Street, parallel to the car parking lot at Furs Street. In total, the municipality will have 3,600 new metres of parking space.
This last parking area, the one on Constitution Street, will now be permanently open. This, together with the car parking lot viewpoint on the old road to Xàbia, which is currently being rehabilitated thanks to a subsidy from the European funds DUS 5,000, will provide the municipality with a significant number of parking spaces for the neighbourhood.
