How to request a PIN Cl@ve, The electronic identity for the Administration

What is PIN Cl@ave?

It is a way to carry out procedures online which is valid for a limited period of time and which can be updated any time we need it. This electronic identification system is based on the use of a key chosen by the username and a PIN sent via SMS.

Prior registration in the system is compulsory.

Advantages offered:

  • It is very simple, you do not need to remember a password permanently
  • It is valid for a limited period of time, which makes it safer.
How can I register?
    You can register and access all the procedures related to registration in Cl@ve on the Tax Agency website
    You must bear in mind that registering online with an invitation letter or via video call provides a basic level of registration, so access to certain services or the use of Cl@ve Firma will not be permitted. Some organisations or services require an advanced level of registration (in person or with an electronic certificate) to access their procedures.

    Once registration in Cl@ve has been completed in any of the modalities described above, the citizen will receive, on the telephone number they have just registered, a welcome SMS to the system. Upon receipt of this SMS, the registered citizen can now use the Cl@ve PIN system and access the password activation systems of the permanent Cl@ve system.
