How to exercise the right to vote in Spain
Citizens of the European Union and from these Non-EU countries: Bolivia, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Korea, Ecuador, Iceland, Norway, New Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, the United Kingdom and Trinidad and Tobago residents in Spain can express their wish to vote in municipal elections in Spain at their local Town Hall, when registering in the municipal register (padron) or at a later date:
- in person at the Town Hall by filling in this form.
- Click here to make an appointment at the OAC, select MESA 1 and choose the desired day and time.
- OAC Address: Carrer les Escoles, 2, 03726 El Poble Nou de Benitatxell
- telematically at the National Statistics Institute (INE), if you have a @Clave or digital certificate
Deadline: in order to be able to exercise the right to vote in municipal and European Parliament elections in Spain, you must have expressed your wish to do so in advance, at the latest by the penultimate working day of the third month prior to the date on which each election is called.
