Long needed projects for Cumbre del Sol
This cooperative group continues to work with the Mayor and his Council on behalf of the residents and holiday home owners of Cumbre del Sol.
Hopefully you have seen
some of the changes we have managed to obtain and certainly we are delighted
about the new speed cameras on the road down to Pepe la Sal. The national speed
limit for residential areas is 30kph. Why? To save lives. Maybe that of your
children or grandchildren, or even you when you exit your own property.
You will have read above about the new projects in Benitachell village. We are now looking at the long needed projects for Cumbre del Sol. We are meeting the Mayor and council just before Christmas to discuss, among other matters:
- Maintenance issues
- The recycling project
- The new municipality ordinances
- Further measures to curb speeding
The note of the meeting
will be circulated to you via Colloquia.
We are aware that the Mayor plans to put some of the money from the newly raised catastral levels into a permanent maintenance team and to resurface roads missed during the last asphalting phase.
However, we are proposing to run a questionnaire where
you can respond about the projects needed on Cumbre del Sol....short and long
term. Watch
this space.
