The British Government is requiring some pensioners abroad to confirm that they are still alive and want to receive their pension! The list of those who can sign the form includes Town Halls, banks and lawyers. In typical fashion, they have sent out a form in English for the Spanish system to sign. Your Town Hall will not be able to sign the form but there is a Spanish system with a digital signature which we are assured will suffice.

For Benitachell, go to OAC (the office near to the village school and just up from Hidragua office and the police station.They will ask for your TIE and some personal details. They will ask you if you want to receive the document by email and print it off yourself, or to go in and collect it a few days later. Attach the Spanish document to the English one (which you need to sign) and put into (we recommend) the 'certificado' post. The staff in OAC and the man in the post office all know what to do.
