FAMILY REUNIFICATION IN SPAIN
The Spanish government
has approved a massive legal amnesty for the regularisation of some 900,000
foreigners living in the country under the radar. This may include British
people who stayed in Spain illegally after Brexit.
You now can prove your links as economic, social, family, work, or educational over two years and be given residency without any legal consequences for having been an illegal!. This will, according to the Spanish government, allow 300,000 people to be given legal residence each year for the next three years.
The new regulation
allows ‘family reunification’ in Spain, even couples who are not married or are
common-law partners, as long as they can prove they have a lasting
relationship. Included in the temporary changes are not having to leave Spanish
territory to process long-term residence applications after having had a
temporary residence before. This is a very interesting change for some affected
by Brexit.
