Golden Visas have been stopped

They were a lucrative way of getting investment into the Spanish (and Portuguese) economy after the financial crisis and were helpful to the restart of the construction industry. The Visa was available to non-EU people such as the Chinese, Russian, Ukrainian and those from the USA and included investment of more than 1million euros in a Spanish company. They have also been a way for British people after Brexit to invest in very expensive houses and gain the right to live here, though many did not. This is a Spanish national government decision but has been driven by the high prices of property in several areas of Spain, including our area. The legislation is yet to be passed in parliament.
